Plaintiff in suit accuses company of contract breach

On Behalf of | Jul 3, 2014 | Contract Disputes |

When a dispute arises over a corporate contract, real estate contract or any business contract, companies may have to face litigation. Although going to court can be stressful and even confusing, it is important for individuals and businesses who are dealing with a breach of contract to address the situation properly. In Fort Lauderdale and throughout Florida, contract litigation can be costly and time-consuming, which is why anyone in this position should make sure to take the right approach. With comprehensive contract review and thorough preparation, people can put their best foot forward in the courtroom.

The plaintiff in a breach of contract lawsuit claims that the defendant, a Texas company, failed to pay them for materials and services that were provided. In the brief, the plaintiff claims the company made an agreement to pay them for various goods and services, but defaulted on their account and owes them more than $118,000.

In addition to the existing balance owed, the plaintiff in this case is also asking to be compensated for interest, court costs and attorney fees. The lawsuit was filed on May 29 in Jefferson County.

Although dealing with the breach of business contracts can be complicated, people who are going through this should not think twice about taking action. However, there are a variety of ways to ensure that the right approach is taken and minimize the hardships associated with litigation, such as connecting with a knowledgeable legal professional and evaluating the ins and outs of the case beforehand.
